People with COVID-19 have had a wide range of symptoms ranging from mild symptoms to severe illness. Symptoms may appear 2-14 days after exposure to the virus. People with these symptoms may have COVID-19:
This list of symptoms look similar very to the illnesses that children contract regularly. This year, we ask families to assess your child's health every morning at home before dropping them off at school. This should include a daily temperature check. Please do not give your child medication before taking their temperature or before dropping them off. If they have any of these symptoms we ask that you keep your child home. Note...this request is already a part of NBCC's sick policy. We will be strictly following this policy in addition to the extra protocols recommended by the CDC and Santa Cruz County Health Department.
